There are an incredible number of western stories from the American West that are about to be lost!

Right now, there is a generation of people that have stories to tell, either of their own parents or grandparents or stories that were passed down to them from those direct ancestors. We are losing this generation very quickly and the stories that they hold in their memories as well! Don’t let those stories of hardship, dreams, pain and love die with them! We can save some of them.

We are losing this generation very quickly and the stories that they hold in their memories as well!

Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Trinity Vandenacre and I was born and raised in Montana, which was a very rough and lawless territory before it became a state in 1889. As a direct descendant of one of the very signers of the Declaration of Independence, Abraham Clark (Abram Clark on the Declaration) on one side of the family and a descendant of both wealthy and dirt poor immigrants from The Netherlands, America and the dream of the American West has been branded into my very bones!

Why is a book of the west important?

With this book, I want to convey the very feelings, sorrows and joys of those brave men and women who dared to tackle the great expanses and territories of the American West. By taking the facts of individual events and happenings and using them as a framework for heart wrenching stories that are based on those facts.

In most cases, we don’t have the entire stories, word for word. What remains, after the wearing away of relentless time, is the rough outline of what happened. Taking that and filling in the blanks as best we can will help to create a piece of history that will capture the mind and give the reader an actual feeling and understanding of what it was like to go through those often difficult, sometimes glorious times in our nations history.

If you haven’t already, watch the video and just imagine the lost treasures out there to be found. An example would be the story of the Whistler family in Wyoming, who when their father was poisoned be a rival rancher and their mother died of a broken heart, the 14 children had to go off on their own, the older ones each taking a younger one to take care of! Their are so many more! Let’s find them and leave a record of what it took to form this great section of the United States of America!
